Participation is open to all Border Collies with a pedigree recognised by the Kennel Club from the country of birth. It is required to bring a copy of the pedigree to the competition. Dogs must have reached the age of 18 months on the day of the competition.


1st grade combinations are eligible to enter on Friday 7th August 2009.


2nd and 3rd grade combinations are eligible to enter the European Championship on Saturday the 8th and Sunday the 9th of August 2009.

 
It is not possible to enter for just Saturday or just Sunday.

 

The cumulative results from the Agility 1+2+3 and the Jumping 1+2+3 will count for a place in the Individual Final. The top 10 placed combinations per round will be invited to take part in the Grand Final Individual. This means that the maximum number of participants at this final will be 60. In the event that one or more combinations qualify at two or more courses, the open spaces will not be filled. The title "European Champion" will be awarded to the winner of the individual final.

 

The title CACIAg can be gained by the combination with the best combined results of the Agility 1+2.This title can only be awarded if the combination meets with the requirements of the regulation set down by the FCI.

 

National teams will compete in the National Team Final on Sunday. Each national team consists of the 4 best combinations from that country. The combinations qualifying for the Team Final are determined by the combined results of the Agility I & II and Jumping I & II results of the Saturday. The top 4 combinations per country, over the 4 Saturday-courses will participate as a team in the National Team Final. If there are countries with less than 4 participants, the organisation will combine countries into ad hoc country teams.


The National Team Final will be an Agility course. To determine the winning country in this Final, only the results of the three best combinations of a national team will count.

 

The FCI rules and regulations are applicable to this show (see www.fci.be). Dogs with a height of 43cm or over: category Large. Dogs with the height 35cm or over, but less than 43cm: category Medium.

 

The class in which the dog competes per 1 July 2009 is the class for which the dog is eligible at the BCC2009.

 

The organisation reserves to itself the right to refuse entries, and make any alterations they may consider necessary in the event of unforeseen circumstances.

 

The maximum combinations for the Open European on the Saturday and Sunday are 250. In the event of the maximum entries been reached, then the date on which the entry fees have been received will be given priority.

Overnight stays and catering for saturday evening at the HSV Beetebuerg   

have to be arranged through the website BCC2009.

 

With your registration for the BCC2009, you agree with the rules and regulations of the BC2009 and FCI. Registration forms that are unclear or not completed sufficiently will not be accepted.
